Zubin Mistry

Zubin is an incredible teacher! I'm a native English speaker learning Farsi from him. He has great attention to detail and he has a wonderful way of transmitting the nuances of the language to his students.

Zubin jaan is such an outstanding teacher! My lesson today was so helpful in ironing out my difficulties with certain letters (غ). His insights into the roots of new vocabulary are fascinating and those insights make remembering new words much easier. I cannot say enough great things about how my فارسی is improving because of his superior teaching skills.

Sehr professionell gestalteter Unterricht. Der Lehrer geht ganz genau auf die Fähigkeiten seiner Schülerin ein, Vorkenntnisse werden nicht vorausgesetzt, was ich als gut empfinde. Man bekommt die Chance eine gute Umgangssprache für die täglichen normalen sozialen Kontakte zu erlernen.

Enjoyed my first lesson, it was well structured and easy to follow. Zubin is patient and encouraging, which made me feel comfortable practicing. Looking forward to more classes in the future :)

Zubin is an incredible instructor. he has both an expert, scholarly grasp of Farsi and English, and his passion for both languages shines through in his lessons. my experience: i grew up in an english-speaking household, with one iranian parent. i only seriously began learning farsi in my twenties. I started self-study around 2018. I took 1 intermediate class at University of Illinois. When I moved to France, i took one year of lessons on italki with one teacher, before switching to Zubin at the start of 2024. i've mostly been working on reading "Big Friendly Giant" by Roald Dahl with him. the book is a big challenge for me abd Zubin's expertise has been invaluable at helping me understand the nuances of the translated version (i was able to get my hands on the translation by Mahbobeh Najafjani, you which is a high quality translation featuring nuanced farsi colloquialisms). Therefore, as an intermediate learner, I can safely recommend Zubin as a teacher!!
