I enjoy being surrounded by nature and doing outdoor activities like trekking and running. I also like traveling and learning about languages and cultures. I also like cooking, specially healthy food.

I´ve been teaching languages for more than 8 years in language institutes and private classes. I think it´s a must for both teachers and students always learn new things and improve their language skills by studying and practicing.
Eu tenho ensinado idiomas por mais de 8 anos em institutos de idiomas e aulas particulares. Eu penso que é necessário para o professor e o aluno sempre aprender coisas novas e aprimorar suas habilidades linguísticas estudando e praticando.

As a private teacher it´s very important for me to design the classes according to the students needs by using tools that reach the more efficient student´s way of learning, for example using songs, conversation, gamification, drills, videos and topics of interest so that we can improve the student´s communication skills.

I highly reccomend Jarbas if you are a beginner like me! I started from scratch and he has been very patient and commited to his role as a teacher. Jarbas provides a very good combination of different learning methods.

A great first lesson with Jarbas. I haven't spoken Portuguese in over a year, so I'm just getting back into it. I was really nervous and forgot a lot of things but Jarbas helped me a lot and put me at ease straight away. We did basic conversations about where we lived & our professions and other countries in South America. It was really good.

The teacher Jarbas is likable and social, and he is one of the best teachers in Italki. I took several courses with him and I am still continuing. He has experience, intelligence and excitement for Portuguese in a wonderful way. Do not get bored with him because he understands your level well, and gives you the appropriate plan in a short time, so you find yourself taking the beautiful Portuguese.thank you jarbas.
