I learn so much more in a lesson with Belem than I have with any other teacher, including the college classes I have taken. She immediately explains small things that mean a lot to my understanding of the language, and no one else ever took the time to explain these things. She is also so detail oriented, and I need that! I have had the best experience learning Spanish with Belem!

Working with Belem for the past eight months has been transformative for my Spanish language skills. When I first started, I was a complete beginner with no prior experience in Spanish. Now, I am able to carry on simple conversations with Spanish speakers, a testament to her exceptional teaching abilities. I had my first lesson today with Belem and cannot say enough about her professionalism and preparation for this first lesson. The time went by so quickly and she had me speaking some Spanish during this lesson. I learned more from her in the trial lesson than from all the time spent on language apps. Belém is a really good teacher! She does an incredible job of identifying my weaknesses and planning exercises that help me improve in those specific areas. When I get frustrated with certain topics, she explains them in simple terms and reassures me that improvement comes with practice. Through her lessons, I’ve gotten to the point where I can identify when I have said something wrong, even when I don’t know what my exact mistake was. She has lots of patience with me as I try to figure out how to restructure my sentences and also helps me sound more natural when needed. She always meets me exactly where I am and gives me clear things to focus on for next time.
