My name is Svetlana, and I was born and raised in Moscow.
Languages are my passion, and I will happily help you to learn Russian, my native language.
I enjoy talking to people from different countries, learning about their cultures, and sharing my knowledge about the Russian language and culture with others. I realised that while studying languages myself, which encouraged me to quit my job as an economist and devote myself to studying and teaching languages. As a language learner myself, I know that the main thing is to be able to convey your message and be understood, which is why my lessons are focused on working on fluency.
I adapt my Russian and make it comprehensible to learners of different levels, so you will find that you are already able to understand Russian no matter how beginner you are.
I am an open-minded and easy-going person, and we can talk about a gran variety of topics.
I create a friendly atmosphere in my classes, which will help you express yourself with no barrier, and with no fear.

- During the lesson, we can just talk in a friendly and relaxed way or we can discuss a particular topic of your choice. I will send you materials such as videos, articles, podcast if you need me to beforehand.
- For the students who are native or fluent in Spanish, Italian or English, I also offer structured lessons to beginners as well as students at an intermediate or advanced level. Muy buena primer clase, muy entretenida y salí de la misma ya aprendiendo cosas nuevas.
Svetlana es muy simpática y, como ya otros dijeron, no titubea en corregirte la pronunciación para que aprendas.
Tambien quedé muy impresionado por como habla español, lo habla muy muy bien, incluso dando explicaciones.
La recomiendo y voy a seguir tomando clases.

Me encantó hablar con Svetlana, es una profesora súper buena y fue una conversación entretenida. Poco a poco me fui soltando en Ruso porque me hizo sentir muy cómoda. Es paciente y una presencia tranquila. Voy corriendo a reservar más clases con ella ❤

My favourite italki lesson ever (and I have had many lessons over the past few months for four different languages)! Svetlana is a genuine polyglot, and her experience of learning languages is very useful if you're a language learner yourself. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone learning Russian!
