Elma Janeth Perea

Elma is wonderful. I have very specific goals I am working toward for school and she takes them as seriously as I do. She gives me a variety of materials to work with outside of class: videos for shadowing, audio for listening, as well as written exercises and references. She also teaches most of our classes completely in Spanish (as opposed to a heavy mix of Spanish and English), which forces me to work on both my conversational and listening skills. She often gives me harder material to push me past my level, and I've benefited immensely from it. I was pretty diligent about my self-study before working with Elma, but having her as a teacher has tremendously accelerated my progress. For that I am so grateful. Italki is lucky to have Elma on the platform. She has a true gift!

Elma is a great teacher. She is personable and teaches in a relaxed manner. Making mistakes is not an issue at all! The material she teaches is personalized and relevant to my learning level and also pushes me to improve. If you want to elevate your Spanish conversation, reading, and writing skills, Elma is an excellent choice!
