Hello there, my name is Sean and I'm an experienced British-born English language teacher, with a clear RP accent that is easy to understand. I hold TEFL and TESOL certificates and had the pleasure of teaching learners from South America, Asia and Africa over the years. I'm a patient teacher but I'm here to help, to fix your mistakes and I hope we will have fun with English. I've studied in university and worked in education and in business, so I can coach you with more specialised vocabulary too. I'm a kind, patient and experienced teacher who is acutely aware of the issues facing students learning English, so I always try to explain vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation in a way that will help you to succeed in your goals.
For me, the important bit when learning a language is to use what you learn. So, if you learn about 'going to the cinema' in English, we might then talk about going to see a concert or a film, as the vocabulary is similar. Then you can talk to English friends about culture.
It also takes time to improve, so in my lessons, I try to help promote your learning with vocabulary to speed up your learning and help you to advance.Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
Let's start with a trial lesson to find out about your needs and goals, and then we can go from there. Once we have a plan, we can have some interesting lessons and conversations.
I always encourage speaking, it's the way to break through when learning a new language. This bit can be scary, you feel anxious when you don't know a word/ phrase but that is totally ok! Don't worry.
It is normal to feel uncomfortable, learning a new language takes time, especially when it comes to speaking (we often can read ok or understand most of what a native says, but when we try to speak we feel we're going to make a mistake, don't we?) TeacherWorked as a fulltime teacher in a busy English language school for adult learners. taught across all levels with a focus on Intermediate, Upper Intermediate and Advanced level learners. Conducted classes on examination Preparation for the TIE Examinations (Test of Interactive English) as part of the school curriculum. Used "English Result" and "English File". along with authentic materials. During the COVID pandemic, I helped to develop online teaching and ran online classes using Zoom.
