We had a great first class together! I felt comfortable as the energy to the class was very relaxed and inspired confidence. I especially appreciated the readiness of the instructor when the Italki platform failed us and we couldn’t hear each other on the platform, the instructor was quickly prepared with a solution, we were able to pivot in a matter of seconds and I didn’t have to lose valuable time as a student. These type of actions go a long way when technology fails while one is in the flow of things and making a great effort to learn. I really look forward to our next conversation session!

We discuss philosophy, hot-button issues in today’s society, and most importantly, Glauber has taught me how to approach reading. He recommended books to me, like Stoner. Our conversations are always insightful.

Glauber is a fantastic teacher, not only because of his patience and helpfulness, but also thanks to his wealth of knowledge. He knows so much about the language and culture, which really adds to the quality of the classes. I have taken his A1-A2 "From Pre-Speech" class, his "Batendo um papo" class, and his "Power of Reading" class, and I recommend them all. I only started learning Portuguese 2-3 months ago from complete scratch, and I can already have long conversations thanks to his lessons. Highly recommend!
