To stop my sleepless nights of verb conjugations and particle nightmares from melting my brain, Aoi Sensei has risen as my emotional demon slayer. She is a conversation master who helps me actually express my real thoughts in Japanese. Heart of gold, 11/10 ヤバ！ 😭 P.S. Give this woman a Medal of Honor—she’s a saintly psychiatrist who mercifully forgives my chaotic 5-minute brain freeze and sloth-mode speaking rate.

Aoi is an excellent teacher! She's really good at explaining; it's detailed and clear. Even though we were out of time, she took the extra time to explain and made sure that I didn't leave the lesson with any unanswered questions. She's very patient and cheers you on, so you'll never feel discouraged! It feels more like you're having a conversation with a friend than a lesson, which I really enjoy!

Thank you Aoi sensei for the trial lesson. I really enjoyed the session and although it was just 30 minutes, I feel like I really learned quite a few things. The pacing of the lesson was great and she made sure to check once in awhile to know if the lesson was too difficult for me to understand. I appreciate her providing the notes and the homework, even though it was just a trial lesson and I look forward to our next lesson together. ありがとうございます!

I had a lovely trial lesson with Aoi-sensei. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was very patient with me and the conversation flowed nicely. She corrected my mistakes and helped me with vocabulary and grammar in a way that encouraged the conversation so I came away from the lesson feeling more confident in my speaking. We covered goals for future lessons and she spoke at a speed and vocabulary level that was easy for me to understand without feeling patronising. She provided me with a list of vocabulary and grammar points at the end of the lesson so that I can practice my mistakes. I'm really looking forward to my next lesson with Aoi-sensei!

Aoi is an awesome teacher for those who need a mix of structured and conversational learning! She is very patient with beginners and speaks in a way that is encouraging and easy to understand, I will be re-booking with her for sure!
