Mark

Mark is great!

I’ve been taking lessons with Mark for some time now. Ive noticed a significant improvement in my Spanish speaking and comprehension skills. I also look forward to lessons with Mark; he’s very kind, patient, and an effective teacher. Looking forward to learning more from him!

I always enjoy my classes with Mark. He's really helping to increase my vocabulary and understand the grammar. That said, his classes focus on encouraging me to speak, which in my opinion, is the most important thing.

If you are serious about learning Spanish then Mark is definitely your guy. His English is excellent and his methods of teaching are different than a normal boring Spanish class. Warning: he goes fast and takes it very serious but after a while you will realize that it is for your own good! You must be willing to work on your own and practice and review the material. I have been working with Mark normally 2 times per week for a year straight and I must say that he has made a world of difference in my Spanish speaking and understanding. *****

I took a single lesson with Mark and was not very satisfied. The teacher didn't ask about my goals or preferences in learning Spanish. After a brief small talk, he immediately shared a table of verbs and their conjugations. For the entire 45-minute lesson, we mostly filled out this table, occasionally being asked to make sentences with the verbs – this was the only exercise we did. When I asked if there were any other exercises, I was told that there were, but since my level is low, I needed to focus on learning verbs. He also mentioned that he doesn't follow levels or learning plans and only assesses whether a person "speaks well or not." I would not recommend him for beginners.

Mark is very prepared, great structure to class. Offers lots of material and is a very bright amiable person. It’s a pleasure to study with him.
