Hello! I’m Michaela, a TEFL-certified English tutor from sunny South Africa 🌞. With 4 years of experience, I offer fun, conversational lessons for learners of all levels—from beginners (A1-A2) to advanced speakers (C1-C2). Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult, I’ll help you speak confidently about travel, food, culture, or any topic you love! My lessons are tailored to your goals and learning style, so you can enjoy learning English as much as chatting with a friend. When I’m not teaching, I’m baking, hiking, or diving into a good book. I have an informal teaching experience - assisting children with homework. I am able to handle multiple tasks on a daily basis. I am dependable who is great at time management. I am confident that I have the knowledge and skill to professionally fulfil the Community Teacher position as required by Italki. I also have a 120 hour TEFL degree. My lessons are fun, interactive and engaging. I also give feedback to the student, making sure that they understand the content taught.
I also offer grammar lessons, but my primary focus is on conversational lessons. I believe that learning a new language requires plenty of practice, so I encourage students to engage in real-world conversations.
