I have 5+ years of tutoring/teaching experience in English, German, Italian, + Spanish. I'm largely self taught and a speaker of 11 languages w/ a degree in German + 150-hour TEFL certification. I understand linguistic challenges and psychological struggles that hold us back (perfectionism, self criticism, guilt, heritage languages, etc.). I help you learn, and coach going from overwhelmed and stuck to resilient, confident, consistent, and uncovering how to be authentically you in your languages. Today I completed a trial lesson with Emily. I often get nervous speaking in German because I don't have many opportunities to use the language, but Emily asked a lot of great open ended questions that were challenging and interesting. She also provided me with real-time feedback in the chat. I felt really comfortable speaking with Emily and booked more classes right away!
