Native Portuguese Teacher – CAPPLE and CELTA Certified for Exceptional Language Learning Olá! Welcome to my profile. I'm so glad you're here! My name is Sandra, and I'm a native Portuguese speaker and certified language teacher with a true passion for sharing my language and culture with the world. I hold a CELTA certificate from the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) and a CAPPLE certificate from the Faculty of Letters at the University of Porto, two qualifications that reflect my commitment to teaching Portuguese with both rigour and heart. My academic background is a little unique: I have a degree in Communication and a Master's in Art and Technology of Sound. Beyond teaching, I dedicate myself to music production, blending creativity with a deep love for sound. This artistic side of me influences the way I teach. I believe language, like music, has rhythm, texture, and feeling, and the best way to learn it is to immerse yourself in it joyfully. I'm also a language learner myself. I'm currently studying German at A1 level and advancing my Spanish to B2, which means I understand firsthand what it feels like to sit in the student's chair, to struggle with new grammar rules, to feel uncertain about pronunciation, and to celebrate small victories. This experience makes me a more empathetic and effective teacher.

Sandra is a consummate professional and excellent teacher. I especially appreciate her focus on the 4 core skills. Reading out loud and speaking/conversation are my challenge areas and she never makes you feel harried or pressured and always provides encouragement (which we learners generally need to stay motivated). Her lessons aren't a cake walk but you can trust you'll be more competent in PT-PT after each.
