ともさん was so helpful! She did a really good job of assessing my level. I liked how she would quickly moved on from things once she realized I already knew it, so there was no wasted time. But if I didn’t know it, she was great at explaining and practicing it with me. She gave me some great suggestions/study tips for the JLPT and helped me to get a better idea of what to expect on the test. This was a fantastic first lessons, and I was very impressed.

Second lesson, and I can’t wait for the next! She’s by far my favorite teacher.

Had my second lesson with Tomo today and I enjoyed it very much. Just practising talking but in a very safe environment. She writes everything down to I can go over it again after the lesson.

This teacher helped me form sentences when I couldn’t quite think of how to say it, helped me learn to count larger numbers, and used very easy to understand Japanese. She understands English and helps me translate some things I don’t have words for.
Thank you! Hope to speak again ✨

Tomo Sensei was really great! I liked her method a lot, she was typing the sentences I was trying to make into a word document (after she corrects them) and she shares it with you after the lesson for your review. She was asking me questions instead of the other way around which I really liked, some teachers would wait for you to initiate the conversation but because I’m still not great at speaking, it turns out to be an unpleasant experience. But Tomo Sensei was asking simple questions and doing her best to help me construct sentences to answer them. I can’t wait to have a second lesson with her. :)
