My name is David and I am here to help you to improve your English or Dutch. I was born in Tokyo, but raised mainly in the Netherlands and Belgium and I have worked and lived in Canada too. I use standard English and Dutch. Having mixed backgrounds myself, I like to learn about other cultures and also the languages I come across. I have a keen interest in politics, history, photography and beer!

I have already taught English and Dutch to both children and adults here in Tokyo. Patience, mutual understanding, encouragement are the basic principles where I base my teaching on. Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
My sessions are mainly conversation based, depending on your needs and wishes. In my humble view, the best way to improve is to actively use the language that you are learning.
For example, one of my Dutch students used to be a collector of languages, who studied over 40 languages, and had the goal to learn as many as possible. As he had already studied German, English and French, it was possible to focus less on vocabulary and grammar, and more on pronunciation and colloquialisms through training sessions and games.
We can focus on specific themes and subjects like having small talk, taking the bus, going to the doctor, or to more advanced situations as job interviews or a good joke.Tài liệu giảng dạy của tôi
