I feel so fortunate to have found Carolina. She is the best! Works with me at my level towards my goals. She uses really good materials that are very helpful. I am always happy to have had a lesson with Carolina. Siempre cinco Estrellas!

Outstanding. I chose Carolina because of how clearly she spoke in her video, making it easy for me to understand her. I also was impressed that she is a journalist. I could tell that she was a nice person. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in our first lesson. I'm going begin regular lessons with her immediately.

Celebration! I'm on the verge of being able to understand movies in Spanish, something that has been impossible for the last 3-1/2 years. For reasons I don't understand, it has taken me years longer than most students to get to this point, although I can do everything else well in Spanish. Carolina recommended two movies recently, prepared interview questions, listened to my summaries and analyses, and in general has been a patient miracle worker. Dear Carolina, sorry it took me so long to get here, and thank you so much for helping to make it happen!

I often say similar things about my lessons with Carolina, because they're consistently true. She works me hard. I feel like my brain is getting a workout. We pick difficult material and it's slow going, but I'm learning steadily. I'm learning about the legal system in Colombia and the standards of evidence, and I'm not involved in police or legal work--these are simply topics that have caught my interest in looking at other aspects of Colombian social life. Wherever you are in your studies of Spanish, Carolina can take you higher, at whatever pace you're ready for.

The lesson was good as always. The problems were technical: italki repeatedly threw Carolina out of the classroom, and she had to reconnect. Eventually we switched to Zoom.

Carolina recommended a new movie at the end of our lesson. I've been working with the movie "La estrategia del caracol" for a few weeks, listening with and without subtitles, analyzing it for literary techniques, and focusing on which characters I understand best. After struggling with movies for 3-1/2 years, this finally feels like it's working. Thank you, Carolina, for being persistent and coming up with new ways to help me.
