As always Theo continues to just be a great teacher, truly the best one I have worked with. He goes above and beyond in accommodating my learning needs and he always makes the lessons engaging and interesting. He fosters a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that helps ease the stress that comes with learning a new language. I really appreciate his approach and look forward to each lesson. In times when I have felt demotivated or discouraged his lessons have always helped me find new appreciation for learning German and have sparked my interest again. I can’t recommend him enough!

Theo was the first tutor I reached out to on Italki. I enjoyed his teaching style and have continued to use him; We've done about 25 lessons together. He really knows his German well and easily relates it to my current understanding and my native language (English). He is friendly and relaxed and at the same time professional. His best qualities are his patience and encouragement! (I make the same mistakes often and Theo corrects me and we move on!) As a teacher myself, I know these are outstanding qualities to have when learning a difficult subject. At the beginning, I didn't really know what learning German was like and was pretty nervous about talking to a tutor about it. Not only has Theo helped with the language acquisition, but he has helped with my confidence in the language. Each week, I enjoy learning something new and practicing my skills.

Theo is a fabulous teacher. He is tremendously supportive with a wonderful teaching style. He would send me videos on different topics that we would then discuss. The videos themselves were a good way of expanding vocabulary and a great basis for discussion. Theo is extremely flexible. So if the conversation leads to another interesting topic, we explore that as well. I find that he has a very compassionate sense and am able to talk to him about everything that's on my mind and he's always open and supportive of it in every way. He also makes a list of all the words and expressions that had come up in our session which I find very helpful. He's a great teacher and great person!! I am so pleased to have him as my teacher.
