Hello! I teach Latin and Ancient Greek at all levels. I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Classics from the University of Kansas where I specialized in Latin literature. I love reading epic poetry, but I’m always down to read something new! While I work now as a game developer in Stockholm, I still tutor part-time. In my spare time, I enjoy playing video games, paddle, and learning new languages (Swedish most recently)!
I’ve taught beginning and advanced Latin as well as introductory Ancient Greek at the university level. I’m more than happy to tailor our lessons and pacing to your desired goals–whatever they may be! Perhaps you’re a medical student who wants to get a better grip on Latin and Greek roots or a high school student who wants additional practice, or even a lifelong learner who’s just plain interested in Latin and Greek – I’m here for ya! No matter what you’re interested in, I will craft our lessons so that you get the most out of them.
For more traditional students, I combine grammar education with composition and reading fluency exercises to help you read faster and dictionary-free! I’m a huge etymology nerd and I find that learning how these words have developed over time helps tremendously with remembering vocabulary.
