I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching English and Spanish as Foreign Languages and a Master’s Degree in Education.
Fluent in five languages (Haitian Creole, French, English, and Spanish, with intermediate proficiency in Italian), I adapt my teaching approach to each student’s goals, interests, and learning style, creating lessons that are engaging, practical, and effective. Patience, communication, and active learning are at the core of my teaching philosophy, helping students build confidence and real-world language skills.

All the lessons and activities are designed to help the students develop/improve their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.

After about 88 lessons with Alen, I’ve really come to appreciate how thoughtful and effective his teaching style is. He explains grammar clearly, reinforces concepts through conversation, and gives feedback in a way that genuinely helps me grow. I’ve become so much more confident speaking because of his approach.
What I also value is how he incorporates Haitian culture into our lessons. It makes learning feel alive and meaningful, and it’s helped me feel a deeper connection to the language and its roots. That’s something really special and not something every teacher offers. I’m truly grateful for the experience.
