Ahmed Deiab

Ahmed is the only language teacher you will ever need. He is passionate, polite, competent, well rounded, and extraordinarily gifted as a teacher. I started learning Egyptian Arabic from him in August. Now, we are starting to have more complex conversations on current events and deeper topics. He is a human encyclopedia and brilliant translator and interpreter. He is capable of translating even the most unusual of metaphors and concepts. Ahmed has proven much more organized and dedicated than my professors in college. From utilizing a custom worksheet to coherently demonstrating proper conjugation to recommending books for practice both in and out of class, to watching travel videos in Egyptian Arabic on YouTube, Ahmed has developed an unique ability to adapt to each student an effect curriculum. I have two friends I have referred to Ahmed that are now taking classes and a potential third in the works. He is an outstanding teacher and I look forward to every lesson!

Ahmed is solid. He holds a fantastic conversation on virtually any topic you want to talk about and is able to help IMMEDIATELY with hard to translate sentences. Another plus is is English language capability is near that of a native born English speaker.

Seriously, if you are looking for a teacher for Egyptian Arabic, I can confidently tell you that your search is over. Ahmed is amazing, he will get you speaking from day 1 even if you are a complete beginner. Each lesson I have with him is always so much fun and I learn so much! I always love talking to him, and he is always patient and kind even if I have to ask him about a certain word or phrase multiple times. At the beginning, he will go over grammatical points so you know the basic structure of the language, like how conjugate verbs for the past/present/future and for the different gender/singular/plural forms of the word. Somehow, he does so without it feeling overwhelming. From then on the class is a conversation, so you will learn vocabulary you will actually use. You don't have to be afraid of making constant mistakes, he always guides even if you messed up that one word you thought you got down 100%. I promise you will enjoy every lesson you have with him!! :)

Another magnificent lesson with Ahmed! Ahmed was destined to teach. There are not enough superlatives to describe him and his teaching method. I am so thrilled to be studying with him because I learn so much during our class (vocabulary, grammar, idioms, etc.) Thank you, Ahmed, for your dedication, creativity and passion towards your work, and thanks for the extra time today!

I recommend taking classes with Ahmed to anyone who wants to learn Arabic. Starting from zero, I took my first lesson with Ahmed and soon found out that I progress so much faster when taking classes with him than when studying from books. After three classes I felt like I had become addicted. The classes were so much fun, just like revising the new contents of each lesson with the recordings that I use to take during the classes. After eight classes I have progressed much more than I had dreamed I might do after around 30 classes. Ahmed is incredibly kind, warm and patient. He takes his time for detailed explanations to each of my questions. I love the way he leads through the class but also gives me the freedom to come up with my own topics and to focus on grammar or conversations according to my preferences.
