I am a 22-year-old college student. I was born in Fujian, China. I had living in China for 15 years. I currently living and studying in Hong Kong. I speak fluent Mandarin and Cantonese. I can also speak English. I moved to Hong Kong when I was 18 years old. I know effective ways to learn a new language. I have enough patience to help you improve Chinese. I also hope that we can communicate some interesting topics in Chinese. I look forward to meeting you!

I have several teaching experiences, which gave me a certain understanding of Mandarin teaching. I practiced Mandarin for a few students. I found that beginner Mandarin learners always have difficulties in using Mandarin in conversation, so I think Chinese Elementary learners need to avoid using their own mother tongue as much as possible, and speak Mandarin as much as possible.
我有几次教学的经验，令我对于普通话的教学有一定的认识，我为几名学生进行普通话的练习，我发现初级普通话学习者总是在运用普通话对话时遇到困难，因此我认为中文初级学习者需要尽可能地不去使用自己的母语，并且尽量讲普通话。

My course focuses on students’ best and grammar. I will guide students to communicate on different topics and try to select a few topics that students pay attention to for communication. Honestly, I was nervous about this because it was my first time using italki but Laura was so encouraging and made learning Hokkien very comfortable. I was happy to meet with her and was able to learn a lot of phrases to use with my grandparents. Thank you Laura!

Laura is an amazing teacher. She provided plenty of examples to make sure I understood the meaning of the words I did not understand. She also was very professional and guided me through watching and listening a video. It was a really wonderful 1 hour lesson! 谢谢老师！
