Hi everyone! I am Yan. I come from China. I have 10 years of experience working as a mandarin teacher and tutor in Canada , I am working with a full range of students, from kids to adults, from the very beginning to advanced level. My students come from all of the world with diverse cultural and social background. Everyone is unique, so I like to design the lessons based on students' needs. Also I'd like promote each class to be enjoyable, engaging and educational. I believe everyone can be successful if applying himself(herself)

I had a lot of fun in this class! She taught me how to say were is it? And how to say it's here. And we played her games in PowerPoint! The games were really fun! Thanks Yan for making my day! And of course thanks to my mom for finding this teacher! BYEEE!!!

She is fantastic with young kids, and my 8yo thought the lesson was super fun. She spoke NO English to my child and conducted the entire lesson in Chinese, which was fantastic (my child has a few years of Chinese learning so I really wanted her to have some extra practice with a native speaker.)

Teacher Yan truly has a lovely, gentle demeanor with my children as well as a very professional approach to assessing my children's Mandarin speaking skills. I most appreciate that she has really encouraged/gently prompted more verbal practice than other teachers we have worked with. Thank you Teacher Yan!
