Juri d'Altilia

Juri is a fantastic language tutor who has been indispensable during my Italian learning journey, from the very beginnings at level A1 all the way up to C1. He provides abundant study material, talking points, and is always patient and clear with regard to the topics at hand and the lesson plans. He helped me to prepare for my B2 CILS exam with numerous tailored examples and practical exercises that corresponded perfectly to the specific exam I was taking, and was able to explain the finer points of advanced grammar to me in a very comprehensible way. I highly recommend him as a language teacher for anyone who wants to reach a high level of spoken Italian.

I've been taking online lessons from Juri for almost a year, starting from about advanced beginner to now intermediate. I find him to be both affable and knowledgeable. In our lessons, it often feels like a regular conversation, but he subtly lets you know where corrections ought to be made to improve your speaking. My focus with him has been to improve my speaking, so materials we have used are varied. Exercises include: my reconstruction of an itinerary of a past italian trip (from my journal) or reading articles for comparing and contrasting points, and he also gave me a great pdf text that had topics of interest I could study and choose our next conversation on.

Juri is so genuine and patient and our trial lesson went very well. He definetely knows the process of learning new languages. :)

Juri è uno dei migliori insegnanti di lingua che abbia mai avuto! He always has a resource to help me deepen my understanding of discussed topics, and he is full of knowledge about all my interests! Ogni lezione mi fa innamorare dell'italiano ancora di più e mi ispira a continuare a imparare :) I highly recommend Juri to any learner; you will have an excellent professor!
