Welcome to my profile.
I have been teaching languages since 2020. My approach was shaped by my own struggles while learning German. I began with traditional grammar-based methods, and after years of effort, I realised I still could not speak or understand the language fluently. It was frustrating to admit that so much time was spent without real communication ability.'

WHY I USE THE STORY METHOD Everything changed when I started learning English using the story-based method. In just six months, I made more progress than in three years of studying German. That experience convinced me that grammar-first learning does not create real speaking skills — stories and context do. This is why I teach using the story method. I believe it is the most effective way to develop natural understanding and communication. To adapt this method to one-on-one lessons, I also use images and structured questions to support the story. I've had a few lessons with Nevfel, and I would definitely recommend him for beginner learners! His style of teaching may seem a little bit simplistic, but it's actually been incredibly helpful. Each lesson we go through a story that he's made up, and in the process we learn new words, learn new sentence structures, and then practice these new things through question and answer activities. I've been learning Turkish for a little while, so not everything we cover is brand new, but these lessons have been incredibly helpful for me when it comes to practicing and solidifying what I'm learning. Anyways, I would highly recommend other beginner learners try a lesson or two!
