👋 Hello, my name is Tamara, and I am originally from Georgia (country).
I lived and studied in South Korea for 6 years, where I earned my Master’s degree in Korean Studies from Ewha Womans University. I was also selected as a Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) student and a Korea Foundation (KF) fellowship recipient.
I am passionate about Korean culture in general, especially Korean modern art. I also enjoy music, traveling, working out, and cooking.
I’ve been teaching Korean to foreign students since graduating from university, and I started teaching online full-time in 2021. Since then, I’ve taught over 6,000 lessons.
I've lived and traveled abroad over the past several years, so I can honestly say that I have a thorough understanding of other cultures and languages.
I speak English, Spanish, and Georgian (my native language), and a bit of Russian. Lessons can be held in English, Spanish, or Georgian.
As someone who learned Korean as a foreign language, I understand the challenges learners face and how to overcome them effectively. I always adapt my lessons to your level and goals.
Teaching is my passion, and I truly enjoy seeing my students improve and succeed. I make each class personalized, so learning is both effective and enjoyable. During the lesson, we will also cover various aspects of Korean culture in addition to learning the language.
Additionally, my interest in psychology aids me greatly when I'm teaching.

Super clear guidance on pronunciation and even in the first lesson I felt like I learned so much about Korean! I don’t speak any Korean and, for me, my first lesson was super informative but also taught at a good pace and wasn’t overwhelming.

It was my first class ever with Tamara and she made me feel very welcome. She was really good at adapting to my level for the first class and workout what we could do to help me improve moving forward. I strongly recommend her.

Tamara, was a very pleasant teacher and was able to explain the Korean concepts very. She was also able to answer all of questions quite well. Her command of the English language was excellent and her pronunciation was also excellent. I believe that she is an excellent teacher.

Her time availability aligns perfectly with my timezone making weekly lessons easy to attend after work.
