Chiyomi 先生 is my favorite iTalki teacher. She has been a huge part of my journey in learning Japanese. She always shows up with the same motivating and kind energy no matter what time of the day we conduct our lessons. I am grateful to be able to do lessons with Chiyomi. ちよみ先生、今日のレッスンありがとうございました！

千代美先生、いつもありがとうございました。今「みんなの日本語」の二冊の勉強を終わって、先生といろいろな会話を続けますね。 Today I finished learning Minna no Nihongo I & II with Chiyomi. While I will certainly continue to have classes with her, I just want to leave a note saying how much I love Chiyomi’s classes. It’s incredibly easy to follow her explanations of grammar and different expressions. You will appreciate how genuine, patient, and encouraging she is as a teacher. I’m not a very talkative person in life but I always have a lot say during each class, and therefore have improved a lot in speaking. Take classes with Chiyomi!

Chiyomi’s lessons have been very useful in my language learning journey. Although I have some familiarity from solo learning grammar points, having to use them on the spot in speech has been very challenging. Chiyomi has guided me to be able to construct sentences with new grammar points and mixes in general chat with text book learning that keeps a structure and a naturalness to our lessons.

Chiyomi 先生 and I have been finally working through some more challenging reading material without furigana. I remember when I first started doing lessons with her, I told her I was always afraid of kanji and never imagined myself being able to read a newspaper article, especially at this point in time. But I've made a lot of progress with Chiyomi 先生, and even as challenges arise and I take on more complex materials, she always remains kind, patient, and supportive in helping me grow in my language learning journey. I wanted to write a review today because I was feeling especially grateful this morning to be one of her students as I reflected on the progress I've made up until now. Chiyomi先生、ありがとうございます。また次のレッスンですね。

I had a great lesson with Chiyomi 先生 today. We were able to read about and deeply cover the concept of ことわざ, which is very helpful for understanding everyday Japanese, and Japanese culture. She was great at explaining concepts I didn't understand, and I had a great time. ちよみ先生、ありがとうございました！
