Meika

Today I had my first lesson with Meika sensei, and it was amazing! She made me feel very comfortable and we could communicate using simple Japanese and CI. Her lessons are 100% worth it. I’ll definitely continue with her until I'm fluent!😁 We did a CI lesson since I’ve been studying with CI for 3 months. We used drawings, pictures, gestures to help explaining things. The lesson took 1½ hours, but it felt much shorter because I enjoyed it so much. I cannot wait for the next lesson! I found Meika sensei through her CIJ videos and I already noticed she is a great teacher. I had wanted to do lessons with her earlier, so when she became available again, I contacted her right away. I’ve also been using her blog and podcast, which helped improve my reading and listening. She often replies to my comments, which makes it even more fun and it helps me practice writing. Her intentions to make the blog are very genuine, which motivates me to keep reading. I highly recommend to check her blog!✨

First full hour lesson with Meika. She was incredibly prepared and sent me print outside of the kanji and vocab we would be going over in class ahead of time. It was a very structured and professional style class which I really enjoyed. Meika made sure we stayed on schedule and helped explain anything that I didn't understand. We spent the start of class practicing conversation, then after words studied kanji and worked on practice sentences using them. She was very patient and kind which made class feel very comfortable. She even sent a recap of what kanji we went over and the homework that was assigned. I really enjoy he focused and planned out lessons as they help me learn easier! I would definitely recommend her!

It was fun again

I have been having lessons with Meika sensei close to 12 months and intend to continue having lessons with her next year. Meika is a passionate teacher with many resources. I highly recommend her blog for her short stories that provide reading practice and learning new words and grammar. Meika's lessons are well structured and fun. She is a very good language teacher and I highly recommend her for all levels of Japanese language learning.
