We talked about our weekends today. Sayumi-san had fun at a Halloween event in her town. I went to another food truck gathering spot and ate some very delicious steak. We went over the exercises for Genki 2 Chapter 19 and I learned that using honorific language twice is wrong. Thank you for patiently explaining honorific language to me!

Today, we talked about the weather and how hot it still seems to be in October. We also discussed the weather patterns for islands with mountains. Then, we reviewed Genki 2 Chapter 19 and I forgot some of the vocabulary. Sayumi-san found where the word was defined and directed me to it. Thanks for all the help, Sayumi-san!

We discussed my work situation and the extra stress it might bring me. We then talked about movies, anime, and manga. Specifically, the Demon Slayer movie that is out in theaters right now. I hope to be able to see it this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion Sayumi-san!

Today, we talked about an anime that I just finished watching and creating costumes for cosplay or halloween. We then reviewed Genki 2 Chapter 19 and I learned more about different ways to use に and から. I look forward to our next lesson!

Today, we went over the Te form and how to properly use it when speaking sentences in Japanese. By far the toughest lesson I’ve had with Sayumi sensei yet, but that just makes me want to try harder. And I’m still working on knowing how to properly use the particles when speaking in Japanese, so more to brush on when I take the time to study going forward.
