こんにちは！ I'm Kaito, a passionate Japanese language instructor originally from Tokyo with over 5 years of teaching experience and more than 400 students worldwide. My journey as an educator has taken me across borders - from professional language teacher training in Sydney to college years in California where I balanced academics with surfing. Currently, I'm living my dream of exploring all 47 Japanese prefectures in my self-built camper van while continuing to teach online. This unique lifestyle allows me to share authentic cultural insights alongside language instruction. Kaito was amazing as always. He does a great job at naturally steering the conversation and finding unique was to explain grammar points and unknown words without resorting to English at first. He also did a great job of creating a graphic on the go to explain a grammar point!

I had a great trial lesson with Kaito-sensei. He’s energetic, attentive, and creative. We talked about travel, and he shared his inspiring experience of visiting all 47 prefectures of Japan in a van.
He asked questions about my background and goals, and introduced me to learning methods and exams I hadn’t heard of before. I'm looking forward the next lesson!

Had a really positive lesson with Kaito-san! After learning that I would like to work towards the JLPT exams, he came prepared with various exam material. He was cheerful and patient throughout the lesson and was great at explaining vocab or kanji I hadn't come across before. Great first lesson!

Kaito is an encouraging and engaging teacher. I am at an intermediate level and want to learn how to speak more naturally and he has taught me some handy substitutions I can make to transform my speech from sounding too formal to sounding more natural.
