Marilu Sosa Mendoza

I've just finished another excellent lesson with Marilu and I could not sing her praises more highly! I have been studying with her for 16 months now and have gone from a complete beginner to someone who can hold conversations and express ideas (although I've still got a long way to go!). Even after a year of studying, Marilu keeps the lessons interesting and engaging, which as an English teacher myself, I know from experience is not easy. If you are looking for someone who takes the time to understand your strengths and weaknesses, creates personalised lesson materials and keeps you engaged and motivated, I would highly recommend that you learn from her. Her classes have had a significant impact on my Spanish journey and my attitude to learning languages as a whole :)

Marilu is a kind, prepared teacher who uses each minute of the class in a productive way. As an advanced Spanish student, she targets each lesson to a specific language goal and I am expanding my Spanish horizons. I learn several new things in each lesson.

Marilu is a very kind and professional teacher. She is always prepared and willing to explain culture and language that is not understood. As an absolute beginner in learning Spanish, I had no problem to understand her explanations in Spanish from the first lesson. She always finds a way to make me perfectly understand her explanations. The material that she prepares for each lesson is easy to understand, yet on a level that improves the knowledge about the language. After the lesson she sends a summary of what has been learned, which gives the opportunity to go over the material we worked on during class. If you are looking for a super friendly and easy going, yet professional Spanish teacher who is willing to share both cultural insight and her own experience, look no further. She is the teacher for you!

Always an amazing class with Marilu. She's very funny and always brings an interesting perspective. I've done a lot of Spanish classes but I always find Marilu's classes have a way of expanding my knowledge/learning - which is awesome.
