iTalki – Jay review I've just attended my third lesson with Dr. Jay and I am very happy to have started improving my German with her. She was very encouraging and understanding right at the first session. I expressed that I am re-learning German after years of not using the language because I have just started my work in Germany. I have booked lessons primarily to deal with the use of the German language in the business context, and Jay has been offering many good tips and tricks in that regard. She not only helps me correct my grammar but also offers alternative words, phrases, or re-formulations so that I can better express my ideas. She also helps provide me useful materials for what I specifically need or request. Last but not least, I also find Jay to be very engaging, and I can feel her genuine interest in understanding and helping me address my personal concerns related to learning German. I am grateful to have found a very supportive teacher in her!

This was easily the best German conversation practice I have ever had on italki or on any other platform. Jay is both interesting and interested, so the conversation flows easily. She provides excellent corrections and offers multiple alternative formulations for expressing an idea. I especially appreciated the fact that she gave me specific feedback at the end of the lesson regarding general areas for improvement and things to pay attention to. I greatly look forward to continuing to learn with Jay.

Jay ist eine sehr professionelle Lehrerin, die meine Sprachgewohnheiten analysiert und mir hilft, jeden kleinen, aber häufigen Grammatikfehler aufzuschreiben, was sehr hilfreich für mich ist. Innerhalb von 10 Minuten bemerkte Jay schon meine verbalen Probleme. Ich habe viele Lehrer auf italki kennengelernt, die sich im Unterricht nur unterhalten und mehr von sich aus geredet haben, als die Teilnehmende reden zu lassen. Aber Jay ist nicht so, sie kann die Unterrichtszeit gut für mich nutzen. Jay achtet sehr auf den Hintergrund und die Lernbedürfnisse die Teilnehmende und konzentriert sich darauf, wie ich mich verbessern kann. Gleichzeitig war sie auch sehr mitfühlend und hat mich sehr ermutigt.

Thank you for the conversation lesson! I really appreciate that even though I still struggle with speaking, you create a space for me to talk and respond to questions. The way vocabulary and corrections are recorded in a google doc is also really helpful. The conversations are also fun and interesting
