Today we spoke about cars. specifically about hydrogen cars, as I went to a hydrogen car event. It was interesting to have a conversation about it because we had to use a lot of difficult words. :-) We also spoke about how I met my friend that took me to the event. It was an interesting conversation :-) I'm looking forward to next weeks lesson!

Today we spoke about Japanese school lunch. It was interesting to hear about the different foods Japanese kids like to eat, and compare the habits with Dutch lunch habits. We also spoke about more serieus school stuff like a teacher being arrested for being a pervert. We compared the Japanese way of dealing with it to the Dutch way of dealing with it. It is always interesting to compare cultures with Lisa sensei. I'm already looking forward to the next lesson! :-)

Today we spoke about my recovery and I showed some x-ray photo's of my jaw. It was interesting to share this with Lisa sensei. Lisa showed me pictures of her neighbourhood covered in snow. It looked very pretty. We also spoke about coming of age day (成人の日). It was interesting to compare the different rules regarding age in Japan and the Netherlands. Like, tabaco, alcohol and part time jobs. I'm looking forward to next weeks lesson already! :-)

Today we spoke about all the pancakes I eat. I am really happy that I can chew a little again! We also spoke about Dutch work culture where many people work part time and share parental responsibilities. It is interesting to compare with Japanese work culture where people always seem to work.

Today we spoke about my recovery. I can start to chew on soft foods starting today, so we talked a lot about what kind of foods I want to try and eat! XD We also spoke about the games I play as I still can't do a lot. It's a lot of Japanese games, so we spoke about all the Japanese things in the games. Like snackbars in kabukicho and other related things :-) I'm looking forward to next weekens lesson, I hope I can report I managed to eat a lot of stuff again! :-D

Today we spoke about the winter weather in the Netherlands. There is a lot of snow here at the moment. We also spoke about Japanese new years dishes that will bring luck and good health. It was interesting to see that Lisa had a set of traditional japanese dishes, and a set of western inspired dishes. I'm looking forward to an other year filled with nice Japanese conversation! :-)
