I live in Nagano, Japan.
My hobby is traveling. I've been to Canada, the US, China, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. In Japan, I love visiting breweries, wineries, and hot springs.
I also love anime and manga, and watch them often.
I also make MIZUHIKI accessories.
I am curious and would love to share your experiences with language, culture, hobbies, etc., so you can have fun learning Japanese with me!

趣味は旅行です。海外ではカナダ、アメリカ、中国、フィリピン、ベトナム、タイ、インドネシアに行きました。日本ではブルワリーやワイナリー、そして温泉をめぐるのが大好きです。
アニメと漫画もとても好きで、よく見ています。

I majored in Japanese language education at my university. Since graduating from university, I have been teaching Japanese in China for three years and in Japan for over 17 years, including online.
I love teaching Japanese. I can teach conversation, composition, kanji, test preparation, business Japanese, pronunciation, anything.

I can teach at any level, from beginner to business level. I teach in Japanese according to the learner's level, so even beginners can learn with confidence. You can ask questions in English or Chinese, but I use Japanese as much as possible. I plan lessons at the learner's request, to be able to speak, to pass the test, and so on.

Head of teaching, PrincipalAtago Japanese Language School is a Japanese language school that opened in 2019. I was hired there as head of teaching and then principal. While teaching Japanese as a teacher, I strongly felt my responsibility as a principal as a company that runs schools and schools. Maki took me as a student as a complete beginner. I don’t understand hiragana or katakana, and within 30 minutes she taught me the sounds of the vowels and why and how hiragana and katakana are used. She was very kind and encouraging and made sure to correct my pronunciation if I was incorrect.

Maki-sensei is always patient and supportive. I really appreciate how she helps me find what I'm trying to say if I'm struggling and encourages me to try new vocabulary. She's very easy to talk to and provides a safe place to make mistakes. The slides she uses are very helpful and prompt fun conversation.

My first lesson with Maki went so well! She was very patient and understanding. I've studied Japanese before and she was so kind about everything I've forgotten and came up with a plan for helping me re-learn and improve. I'm looking forward to my next lesson!

Maki-sensei is always so patient and takes the time to help me find the words I need, providing new words to help me express myself when I don't have the vocabulary. Her practice scenarios are very helpful when reviewing as well as learning new vocab and grammar. She's very encouraging when I'm struggling with something and I appreciate how supportive she is, especially when I have questions. Thank you, Maki-sensei!

Maki-sensei is always very patient as I try to express myself and is very helpful. I'm learning so much each session and am feeling much more confident in using what I know. I'm more comfortable in making mistakes because I know she'll help me find what I'm trying to say.
