After taking lessons with Teacher Ruth for just a few months, my Swahili has gone from absolute zero to understanding the principles of grammar and sentence structure, as well as a significant amount of vocabulary. I'm able to form sentences on my own and we're now readily progressing through conversational skills. It feels amazing to be able to make so much progress in such a short period of time. Teacher Ruth is a wonderful teacher who is patient and supportive, I always look forward to our lessons. Asante sana, Mwalimu!

A wonderfully warm and welcoming teacher! Very clear and easy to understand, friendly and personable, taking all the anxiety out of learning and turning it into something delightfully fun. I never once felt like my learning or experiences were minimized - she encouraged me toward my goals and laid out a clear pathway forward. Mwalimu Ruth is great at finding your level and adding/reviewing skills where needed. She personalizes lessons and helps in the areas you don’t feel as confident in. Meeting with her multiple times a week has definitely increased my confidence so far
