Cristina is one of the kindest teachers on this website. In every one of our classes, she has been incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and supportive. I always leave each class feeling more confident than I did when I started, and this is due to Cristina's demeanor and her encouragement. If you are looking for a sign to take a class with Cristina, this is it!

Estoy aprendiendo español para hacer un periodo de prácticas en un hospital en Colombia este verano, y ella es una profesora excepcional. Te hace sentir a gusto inmediatamente, nunca me siento juzgada y me gusta mucho cómo logra mezclar bien la gramática y el contexto médico en las conversaciones y los ejercicios. Es muy amable y, sobre todo, me parece una bellísima persona

Cristina es una profesora de Español muy muy buena. Ella explicarme las cosa que no entiendo, y tambien me habla todo en Español entonces creo que es muy bueno para improver mis habilidades de conversaciones. Cristina is very easy to talk to, has interesting topics to cover, helps makes speaking feel more natural and fluid, and helps with important grammar topics as well. She also has an impressive background of experience in medicine which I appreciate as someone who works in the medical field. I think Cristina is a great teacher for someone who wants to improve their speaking skills in Spanish, works in healthcare and serves a Spanish speaking population, or someone simply interested in learning a new language. I really appreciate the lessons I have had with her so far, and look forward to many more in the future.

Cristina and I had a wonderful first class. I've taken dozens of classes with others. Where Cristina stands out, is her ability and willingness to politely correct my speech as we chat. This ensures the student does not continue reinforcing improper speech patterns. This style of instruction is very helpful for intermediate level learners (in my opinion) because she shines a light on my linguistic blindspots. For instance, I used the word "Vuelto" instead of "Vuelo". She politely let me finish speaking, but then addressed that I used a word that doesn't make sense... I am glad that she is willing to re-examine my mistakes before I lock them into a habit. But chatting in general was very nice, she shared very interesting information about her home-country and was very responsive to my interests. Thanks!

I love how she is honest, gentle, and direct about what mistakes I made. She is calm and approachable, and I am very grateful and hopeful!
