Hi! I’m Meri. I’m Japanese and live in Japan. I love art so much. I’m into painting mostly digital recently and sometimes watercolor. I also play the lap harp but I’m not good at it yet though. I love traveling abroad and am dying to learn about other cultures! Interacting with people around the world is always inspiring!! I learn some languages on my own and I’m so much into it:-)I ‘m looking forward to see you soon!!
こんにちは！わたしの名前(なまえ）は、めりです。日本人（にほんじん）で、日本（にほん）に住（す）んでいます。
わたしの趣味（しゅみ）は、絵（え）をかくこと・小（ちい）さいハープをひくこと・外国（がいこく）を旅行（りょこう）することです。いろいろな国（くに）の人たちとお話（はなし）するのが大好（だいす）きです。外国（がいこく）の文化（ぶんか）にもとても興味（きょうみ）があります。外国語（がいこくご）を学（まな）ぶことも大好（だいす）きです。

I firmly believe that if you would like to be a good Japanese speaker, you need to speak a lot as much as possible :-) You don’t have to worry about grammar so much. What you have to do is just hearing Japanese language a lot, like podcasts, movies, animes, music,YouTube videos etc... and speak it . I believe that helps you to pick up words and sentence structures naturally. And you can also pick up native terms from it as well. That will help you speaking Japanese a lot. Believe it or not, just try it;-)

In my lesson, we talk freely:-) Like, what happened yesterday or your likes or dislikes…whatever! You don’t have to try to speak perfectly. We Japanese native speakers even don’t speak perfectly. I ‘m going to help your Japanese and give you native terms and make your sentences sound more natural. Speaking Japanese is like a training. The more you’ll speak, the better you’ll get!!
わたしのレッスンは、とにかく話すことに重点を置いています。文法は気にせずに、日本人がいつも話しているような、話し言葉を使ってみましょう。教科書からはなれて、ネイティブのつかう単語やフレーズをお伝えします。話し言葉は、書き言葉よりシンプルで簡単なんです。勉強ではなく、リラックスして楽しく練習しましょう。間違えたって大丈夫です。私たち日本人も、文法どおり話してません。
皆さんの趣味やペット、時事ネタ、最近あったことなど、なんでもお話しましょう！

I contacted Meri sensei to specifically ask her to help me improve my pronunciation and intonation for a speech I will give in a few weeks. After she promptly accepted my request, I was able to book a lesson very easily. During the lesson, Meri sensei attentively listened to my speech and gave me very useful advice on how to improve my pitch. I had a very good time! めり先生、楽しい時間をありがとうございました！イントネーションのコツを教えて頂き、本当に助かります～
