My name is Melvin, I am a TESOL certified French and English tutor with 3 years of experience, and I equally hold two Master's degrees, one in Business Law.
I am patient, good listener, friendly and have a passion for sharing and help others learn. On a personal note, I like reading, jogging, I practice Jiu-jitsu (Japanese), and I appreciate talks on contemporary issues, no matter the subject. I am an introvert who looks like an extrovert, lol.
I enjoy cultural exchanges and I hope I will get to know more about different cultures.

I have a 3 years experience working as interim teacher and support staff at Our Ladies and Lords High School. There, I gave French classes principally and was a support staff for English classes, History classes, Economics and Geography classes.
I worked with the NGO "Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa" and as part of the organization's missions, we attended personal development training I acquired skills in public speaking, communication and marketing.

My classes are very relaxed and fun because I believe people learn better this way.
A classic first lesson includes:
1- Introductions
2- Identification of purpose/objectives
3- Statement of how the tutor will help you
4- Tentative learning program
5- A little exercise to assess your level
We will get to talk about engaging topics while focusing on your weaknesses. But most importantly, the classes are adapted to your needs. Classes are based on the student's level and goals. I use a variety of teaching materials ranging from e-books, videos, websites and much more.

It is my 2nd day learning French, already I am reading children's books and being understood as I go sentence by sentence, Sob taught me in an easy to understand way to read almost anything correctly, accented letters, letter combinations, which letters to ignore. I will learn very quickly with Sob. God willing.
