Hi! I’m Francesco — a certified teacher of Italian as a foreign language (Università per Stranieri di Siena), polyglot and PhD in philosophy. I’ve taught students from all over the world, combining language learning with cultural depth and human connection. I speak 7 languages, including Turkish, and I work as an intercultural mediator. This summer, I’m offering discounted lessons to make Italian more accessible. I’m not just a teacher — I’m an intercultural mediator. I’ve lived in many countries and speak seven languages, seeing them as bridges that open cultural and human horizons. Teaching, for me, means connecting with people from all over the world. Each lesson is a unique exchange. I have experience with Italo-American and Turkish students, but I enjoy working with learners from all backgrounds. I speak Italian with a clear, standard accent, as I’ve lived outside Italy for over 20 years. (Note: the platform incorrectly says I live in Naples.)

My lessons are always tailored to each student's needs and goals: whether you want to improve your conversation skills, grammar, pronunciation, or prepare for an exam, we will create the right path together. I use authentic materials (videos, articles, songs, audio recordings) and the best textbooks available for learning Italian as a foreign language. With almost fifteen years of teaching experience, I’ve curated a wide range of top-quality resources that I share with my students to make every lesson effective, engaging, and meaningful. I’m an empathetic and patient person — I always try to create a relaxed, human atmosphere where students feel welcomed and encouraged.

Francesco is an excellent teacher. He is very thorough with his corrections and his explanations; we have only taken a few lessons, but I feel like I have already learned a lot! Francesco is also very smart and can talk about a wide variety of topics, which is great for anyone with a wide range of interests that wants to practice discussing such topics in Italian. Francesco also has the extremely useful skill of listening deeply and intensely to what the student is saying; as a result, not only does he correct and explain, but also truly engages and facilitates. I would absolutely recommend him as a teacher to anyone interested in improving in Italian!!

Grâce à Francesco, j'ai appris de nombreuses techniques, stratégies et astuces pour me préparer à l'examen de certification Celi B1. La préparation était interactive et techniquement structurée de manière très professionnelle. En même temps, c'était amusant de se préparer grâce au style décontracté et à la créativité de Francesco. Nous avons même utilisé le rap pour rendre ma présentation orale plus fluide. Merci Francesco pour ton aide et je recommande à tous ceux qui ont besoin de se préparer aux examens de certification de prendre contact avec lui !
