Hi, I’m Liz! I’m from the UK and languages have always been a big part of my life. I grew up in Spain, studied Applied Languages at Portsmouth University (including a year in Wuhan, China), and earned my TESOL certificate. I speak Spanish like a native, conversational Chinese (HSK4), and a little Bulgarian. Living in different countries has given me firsthand experience of what it’s like to sound “foreign” in another language—and how powerful it feels when your pronunciation finally clicks.

I completed 120 hours of teaching at Portsmouth community college, teaching adults who were non-native speakers of English and had recently moved to the UK.
