As a trained translator I am first and foremost an expert of Finnish language, and I have a minor in Finnish. I have been teaching Finnish from beginners to all the way to advanced Finnish speakers and native speaker. I have experience teaching different age groups: kids, teens and adult. My lessons will be tailored to your wishes, goals, language level and interests. As a language learner myself I understand there are ups and downs in language learning, but I am ready to face these challenges with you. As a teacher I am encouraging, and try to activate my students to use as much Finnish as possible. People usually tell me they can be themselves in my company. This no stress state helps them to express themselves better in Finnish as the brain has no reason to activate the sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight/freeze response) which would compromise higher brain functions. I have about 2000 hours of teaching experience, mostly online but also face to face.
