Day 252 / 365
Hi there!
I had a day off today/It was my day off today (I provided an alternate to saying it I had a day off today. Secondly if you are speaking in the past tense, try to keep all verbs in the past tense therefore have in this sentence is not appropriate). Nothing special happened today. We just had a relaxing time.
I cooked grilled chicken with potatoes for lunch. It was very delicious. (perfect sentence structure)
I'm going to make liver paste for tomorrow. It's really delicious and it's very helpful (maybe you can elaborate on why you think it is helpful as you are leaving the listener guessing) or did you mean healthy?.
I watched a series (serial is not the right word to use here),(I added the comma before the quotation marks. If you do not want the comma you have to add the word "called") "Sherlock Holmes" starring Benedict Cumberbatch. It was good, but Russia's version of Sherlock Holmes is better. I like these kinds of movies/I like this genre of movies.
We're going to have a meeting tomorrow. Our boss invited all teachers to a restaurant (invited instead of called is a better option and a restaurant instead of the restaurant, because the restaurant implies that the listener knows which restaurant you are talking about). I hope it'll be interesting (try to tell us a little more about your expectations eg. I am so stoked/excited or I am really looking forward to it. ☺️
