A : I prefer to shop alone. B : OK. What about shopping online? A: Oh, now that I like. I've learned this phrase "now that I like" is a casual phrase to mean "now that I like shopping." The word "shopping" is omitted. Then "He used to hate jogging, but now he enjoys." or "I used to avoid horror movies, but now I watch." Are these sentences also acceptable in a casual conversation? Do both sentences have the same meaning? 1) Everything has been left with the attitude that it will last forever. 2) Everything has been left with the assumption that it will last forever.

I didn’t respond until later that afternoon. *Was the charging block that you told me about that was too hot the one coming in the box for our new iPad? This seemed to be a combination of two phrases: ‘the charging block that you told me about’ and ‘the charging block that was too hot.’ 1. Is it ok to put them together two phrases like this? 2. How would you ask this question? I feel mine is long and unwieldy. :P Thank you very much. :)
