A lot of things has happened lately, especially around books. Today I wanted to buy some new books. This week has been the book fair in the capital city and I couldn’t visit it, therefore, I decided to check online in the library I bought last time. And I found a huge discovery for me: there is a trilogy of a book I really like and got as a present some years ago, The psychoanalyst. So maybe in the following months I’ll buy the other books I missed out and reread the first volume.

I'm planning to take my family to Inner Mongolia to ride horses and watch wrestling

I am planning to go to Hokkaido with my friend during the winter vacation. I have never been to Hokkaido before, and I have never even taken an airplane, so I am very excited. We will stay there for four days, and we already made some plans for the trip. On the second and third days, we are going to go skiing. My hometown never gets snow, so I never had a chance to try skiing before. That is why I am really looking forward to skiing in Hokkaido. I hope I can learn it well and enjoy the experience. I also love seafood very much. Hokkaido is famous for having a lot of delicious fish, so I really want to eat a seafood bowl there. Just thinking about it makes me hungry and happy. This will be my first time traveling with a friend, so I want to make many fun memories. I hope the trip will be full of exciting experiences, good food, and lots of laughter.

It was rainy today. I generally dislike this kind of weather, where the rain isn't heavy enough to justify an umbrella, yet still soaks you within minutes, making your shirt cling to your back. Mom headed out early to run errands, so Dad handled lunch. As usual, he brought takeout. To my surprise, it was a spicy dish: twice-cooked pork. I don’t eat spicy food and almost threw a tantrum at him. But I must admit I was wrong and stubborn. He wheedled me into having a try, and it turned out to be amazing. I gobbled down my share and ended up eating half of his portion, despite the ulcers in my mouth. When the food is good, you forget your pain. Good cooks truly work wonders; they have a Midas touch with food.
