In my Chemistry studies, I have learnt two very interesting facts about temperature and water displacement. I learnt that temperature is measured against the average kinetic energy ( the energy of an object because of its movement) of the particles ( atoms) in an object. The greater the motion of the particles, the higher the temperature is. When an object is put into a container of water, a certain volume of water is displaced. Interestingly, that displace volume is the volume of the object submerged.

Should recycling be compulsory? Presumably, the first recorded recycling incident took place in Japan in the eleventh-century. A paper was recycled or in other terms, reused. Some of many reasons why humans might consider recycling their everyday materials could be because of the lack of natural resources, labour intensive material production, or that overproduction causes harm. With the increasingly growing world population, recycling plays a vital role in sustaining our natural resources and preventing habitat loss. Furthermore, it contributes to lowering greenhouse gas emissions which enhances air quality around the world. I think that recycling should be compulsory on an international scale because it will have countless positive effects on our planet. In conclusion, recycling will provide present and future generations with a prosperous lifestyle.

Anglo-German Naval Rivalry Germany had a Kaiser called Wilhelm II that was very ambitious for Germany. He wanted Germany to be the most powerful empire in Europe in industrial and military terms. He announced his intension to build a powerful navy which Britain considered as a threat to the security and stability of its growing empire. Germany's Kaiser Wilhelm II claimed that his intention to build a powerful navy is to protect Germany's growing trade. Yet, Britain didn't believe that and responded by announcing the build-up of powerful warships called HMS Dreadnought. Germany also responded by building its own Dreadnought which increased the tension between the two nations.

World History The triple Entente In the 19th century, Britain didn't involve itself in the conflicts that were happening in Europe. Instead, it focused mainly on its overseas colonies and developing its empire. Britain's attitude was referred to as "splendid isolation" by the Europeans. The French and Russians were Britain's most dangerous rivals. However, in the early 20th century Britain's view of France and Russia began to change for three main reasons; In 1904 Russia was defeated by Japan which weakened Russia and lessened Britain's concern about its power. Britain and France reached several agreements regarding overseas colonies. Thirdly, France and Russia shared the same concern with Britain about Germany's growing influence in Europe. In 1870, France was defeated in a short war by the Prussian statesman Bismarck in which he seized a strategic French industrial area called Alsace-Lorraine. That made France join the triple entente and build up its military and navy preparing for any German invasion. Russia was the largest country in Europe in terms of soldiers and population. It was entirely agricultural and wanted to defend the serbs that were accused by Austria-Hungary of assassinating the Archduke Franz Ferdinand.

History In the early 20th century, Europe divided itself into two opposing powers, the Triple Alliance was made up of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy formed in 1882. On the other hand, the Triple Entente which was formed in 1907 composed of Britain, Russia, and France. The Triple Alliance Germany was initially a collection of states of which Prussia was the most powerful in industrial, military, and infrastructural terms. After the Prussian statesman Bismarck won a battle against France in 1870 in which he seized an important French industrial area called Alsace-Lorraine, he united with the other German states to form a new powerful German empire. Austria-Hungary was a sprawling country in Central Europe. It was made up of people of different ethic groups such as the Slovaks, Czechs, Serbs, Germans, Poles, and many more. Austria-Hungary was a very socially fragmented country with each ethic group having their own costumes and language. Like Germany, Italy was a collection of states that united together. Germany and Italy had a strong desire to have their own colonies overseas as other countries did like France, Portuguese, and Britain.

The main cause of World War I 1914-1918 Europe was dragged into the bloodiest war in history within roughly six weeks of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand the Archduke of Austria and his wife Sophie that were killed by an automatic pistol by a Serbian teenage during the Archduke's procession to his town hall in Sarajevo, Bosnia, in Sunday June 28, 1914.

The complexity of the environment. Learning about organisms and the interaction they have with their environment is a how a scientific discipline is defined called Ecology. Ecology is an increasingly interesting field of study. Yet, it is also very sophisticated especially when it comes to studying organisms in the field where there are countless impossible-t- control variables. Therefore, Ecologists use models which are verbal, mathematical, or visual representations that are difficult to visualize complicated things such as what would happen to a group of animals if a resource is restricted. There are six levels of organization within the environment starting with the organism itself. Population is the second level or organization, it is defined as the individual organisms of the same species that occupy the same Geographic location at the same time. A biological community: groups of organisms of different species that are occupying the same geographic location at the same time is considered the third level organization. The fourth level of organization is an Ecosystem which is a biological community and all the abiotic factors ( non-living factors such as temperature, water temperature, water salinity, the chemistry of the soil, available nutrients, the minerals in rocks and many more) affecting it. A biome is the fourth level of organization and is defined as ecosystems that share the same climate and similar biological communities. The last level of organization is called a biosphere, which is any portion on planet Earth that supports life. A habitat is referred to as the area an organism lives in. I.e. the area a tree lives and thrives. In Biology, the term Niche is defined as the role or position of an organism in an environment. That is, how an organism meets its daily energy requirements, reproduces, secures its place, and many more.

Having a comfortable and of a high quality sleep is important. Sleeping well allows one's body to recover and prepare itself for the next day. There are certain habits that one should consider before going to bed. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), one of the most critical things to have a high quality sleep is to ensure regularity. Sleeping and waking up at the same time programs your brain and optimizes your energy level. Avoiding stimulants such as coffee and energy drinks is also necessary at least six hours prior to your scheduled bed time. Individuals who have sleeping issues, a warm cup of fresh milk is recommended half an hour before going to bed. Overusing electronics is known to cause sleeping disorders. Therefore, ensure to follow all the healthy sleeping advice that would ensure you a comfortable and lovely sleeping night.
