Today, I would like to talk about one of my friends. We met in high school, and since we happened to live very close to each other, we quickly became friends. We also joined the same club, and because we often went home together, we talked a lot and grew even closer. However, when I was in my second year of high school, things changed for me. I faced some problems, including troubles with relationships and issues at home, and I started to feel that I might not be able to continue the club activities. I’m the type of person who finds it difficult to talk about my problems, so I couldn’t really open up to my friend. But for her, the fact that I didn’t share my struggles made her feel sad. Because of that, we slowly began to grow apart, and we even stopped going home together. Until we graduated, our relationship stayed a bit awkward. But after we entered university, she reached out and invited me to go out for a meal together. We talked about many things, and we were able to reconnect and feel close again. And today, since we both turned twenty, we’re finally going out for drinks together. I feel a little nervous, but I’m excited as well. Thank you for reading.

300-Second Chinese Hack: Fast-Track Your Learning Journey Want to master Chinese quickly? These 3 proven strategies cut through the noise, letting you hold simple conversations in just 7 days—no advanced experience needed! 1. Master Pinyin First: The Foundation Pinyin is your shortcut to correct pronunciation. Spend 1 day mastering initials, finals, and the 4 core tones. Focus on tricky sound pairs like z/zh and c/ch. Spend just 10 minutes daily shadowing standard recordings—this builds confidence to speak clearly and accurately. 2. Prioritize High-Frequency Words: Ditch Memorization Skip endless vocabulary lists! Focus on 10–15 daily essential words (e.g., greetings, food, time). Use them in context instead of rote memorization. For example, practice “The weather is nice today” to make words stick. This method turns isolated terms into practical communication tools fast. 3. Immerse Daily: Train Your Ear Incorporate 15 minutes of Chinese input daily: listen to children’s songs, watch short cooking videos, or casual vlogs without subtitles. Use the “repeat-after-me” mode to mimic tones and flow. This builds intuition for the language’s rhythm and sharpens your listening skills. Stick to 30 minutes daily for 3 weeks, and you’ll be greeting, shopping, and chatting with ease. Chinese is approachable—find the right method, and unlock a world of connection!

Recently, I have started to feel much more comfortable with my part-time job. There are several people who joined around the same time as I did, and I became especially close with one of them. Because of that, going to work has become more enjoyable, and I actually look forward to my shifts. It feels nice to have someone to talk to and learn together with. I also feel a strong sense of motivation when customers thank me. Even a simple “thank you” makes all the effort feel worthwhile, and it reminds me why I want to do my best. Of course, there are still difficult tasks and moments when I get confused, but my seniors always teach me kindly and support me when I need help. Thanks to them, I feel more confident little by little, and I hope to keep improving as I continue working.
