Mô tả
English has two TH sounds, and they appear in some of the most common words in the language: the, this, that, they, there, with, think, thank, three, thing, both, month. Many Indian languages do not have these sounds, so many speakers use the nearest sounds they have: a soft T and a soft D made with the tongue against the teeth. If you hear "tank you", "dis one" or "tree tousand", this lab shows you exactly what is happening and how to decode it instantly, including in numbers, dates and days of the week, where a mistake can matter. What you will learn: • Two TH sounds in english • Voiceless TH → soft T • Voiced TH → soft D • The word "the" • Th in clusters and ordinal numbers • Numbers and days: where mistakes matter • Many speakers also use a true TH • Everyday TH phrases • Practice: decode the sentence • Listening strategies • Self-check questions to test your ear Level: B1–B2. Self-study: listen, then take the quizzes. Audio voiced with AI from an original script by Dr. Rashmi R Nair.
