こんにちは。今日は7月1日月曜日、皆さん、「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は信号機の色についてお話しします。信号機は、道を安全に歩いたり、安全に車が走るために道にあるものですね。

信号機の色、知ってますか？

信号機の色は青と赤と黄色です！でも、青の信号は実際には緑色に見えますよね？なぜ日本では信号の色を「青」と言うのでしょうか？今日はその理由について詳しくお話しします。

まず、信号機の色について確認しましょう。
信号機には三つの色があります：
	•	赤：止まれ
	•	黄色：注意
	•	青：進め

では、どうして青信号は実際には緑なのに、青信号と呼ぶのでしょうか？実は、これは日本語の歴史と関係があります。

昔の日本語では、「青」という言葉は今より広い意味を持っていました。青という言葉は、今の「青」と「緑」の両方の意味があります。

例えば、「青りんご」という言葉があります。青りんごは実際には緑色ですね。でも、昔から日本語ではこれも「青」と呼んでいます。また、「青菜（あおな）」も緑色の野菜のことをいいます。

さらに、「青々とした木」という表現もあります。変に思えますが、変ではありません。これは、木の葉がとても緑で元気が良いことを意味します。例えば、「青々とした木々が広がる森」という風に使います。このように、緑色のものを「青」と表現することは、昔から日本語でよく見られることです。

ですから、信号機の緑色も「青」と呼ばれるようになったのです。

ここで、皆さんに問題です。なぜ日本では信号の緑を「青」と呼ぶのでしょうか？
	1.	昔の日本語では、青という言葉にも緑の意味が入っていたから
	2.	信号機の色が昔は青だったから
	3.	信号機の色を決める人が間違えたから
正解は「1. 昔の日本語では、青という言葉にも緑の意味が入っていたから」です。

🌸なぜ、みどり色を「青」と呼ぶの？信号機のなぞ！

As I commute into the city for work every day, I always do my best to avoid the rush hour traffic, which is not always easy. I usually get up at 6 am and catch the bus at 6.30 to beat the heavy traffic, and go for a relaxing coffee before starting work. 

 However, about 2 weeks ago, I slept in on a monday morning and didn’t wake up until 8am,missing the early bus, and not catching the next one until 8.30, which i knew would mean being late for work due to the traffic.

Normally the bus ride into the city centre takes about 45 minutes, but because of taking the bus during the peak rush hour it now took almost 2 hours. The traffic was unbelievable, and cars were bumper to bumper, moving at a snail’s pace, for the entire journey.

What made it even worse was that the bus was full, and passengers were packed like sardines , which also meant I had to stand for the full journey. To try and pass the time, I just read the  news using my mobile phone, as well as messaging my boss to let him know I would be late for work due to the heavy traffic.

I’m not the  most patient person and being stuck in a traffic jam like this is something I really hate, and always something I try to avoid. I also take pride in always being on time for work, and felt absolutely terrible  to be over an hour late on this day. I now set 2 alarms every night to make sure that this doesn’t happen again.

One of Kafka's best-known works, The Metamorphosis was first published in 1915. It is often cited as one of the seminal works of fiction of the 20th century and is still widely studied in high schools, colleges, and universities across the world. This striking novella tells the story of salesman Gregor Samsa who wakes one morning to find himself mysteriously transformed into a huge insect.

Gregor subsequently struggles, unsuccessfully, to adjust to his new condition. The cause of Gregor's sudden and inexplicable transformation is never revealed, and Kafka himself never gave an explanation. The bulk of the story deals with Gregor's attempts to adjust to his new condition as he deals with being burdensome to his family, which is repulsed by the strange, giant, and verminous creature Gregor has become.

Literary critics and readers alike have generally interpreted The Metamorphosis to be a parable about the individual’s sense of finding himself victimized by large impersonal forces in society which are beyond one's grasp or ability to deal with. Horror, humor, and the surrealism of dreams are all present from the first sentence and stand to this day in this illuminating evocation of the condition of the modern, alienated anti-hero.

今天想和大家聊一聊【跷二郎腿】的话题。
跷二郎腿，就是坐下来的时候一条腿跷起来放到另外一条腿上面。那么，为什么叫“二郎腿”呢？古代传说里面有一个人物叫做“二郎神”，一些地方的庙里面有二郎神像。二郎神的坐姿就是这样子，所以把这种坐姿叫做“跷二郎腿”。很多人都有跷二郎腿的习惯，这是为什么呢？跷二郎腿好不好呢？我们来听一下吧。
翘二郎腿是很多人都有的习惯。当坐下放松的时候，腿不自觉就翘了起来。这是为什么呢？爱翘二郎腿，不能简单粗暴地用某个科学发现来解释。不过它和身体舒服感、心理状态、习惯等都有一定关系。其实翘二郎腿和葛优瘫一样，是身体本能追求舒服姿势的表现。人是一种喜欢折腾的动物，喜欢不断变换姿势来维持肌肉的张力。翘二郎腿时能放松一条腿的肌肉群，并让腿部和足底肌肉更轻松一点。当人们坐下时，翘二郎腿可以调节中心，感觉做坐起来更稳当。另一方面，跷二郎腿能防女人走光，让男人看上去更有范。夏天穿短裙的女性坐下来后，跷二郎腿的姿势可以有效地防止走光。而颜值高的男性坐下来跷二郎腿，也会显得更有魅力。
但经常跷二郎腿其实会影响到健康，让我们腰酸背痛，并会带来脊柱侧弯的风险。翘二郎腿时，人们难免会将重心偏向一侧，导致盆骨旋转和髋关节紧张。时间一长肌肉力量不平衡，就会带来体态改变等问题。
有谣传说，二郎腿翘多会影响到生殖健康，提早出现退化性关节炎，变成o型腿，导致静脉曲张，高血压。小姐姐在这里郑重地辟谣，这其实并不是翘二郎腿会带来的危害。
那如何翘二郎腿才是正确的，危害小的呢？那就是不要长时间一直翘，翘起来腿麻了都不管不顾，直到天荒地老。腿麻了就换换腿
翘，时间久了就站起来活动活动。毕竟久坐也不利于身体健康。除此之外，只要你自己感受是舒适的，想怎么翘就可以这么翘。
