Giáo viên chuyên nghiệpREMEMBER vs REMIND – What’s the difference?
These two verbs are easy to mix up, but they have different meanings:
✅ REMEMBER – when you keep something in your mind or don’t forget it.
You do it yourself.
Examples:
I remembered to turn off the lights.
Do you remember her name?
I can’t remember where I put my phone.
✅ REMIND – when someone or something helps you to remember.
Use it when someone makes sure you don’t forget.
Examples:
Please remind me to call her later.
That photo reminds me of my childhood.
My phone reminded me about the meeting.
Quick tip:
If you need help not to forget, use remind.
If you do it by yourself, use remember.
