I'm a native speaker of both Finnish & English with more than six years of teaching experience, during which I have taught thousands of lessons to hundreds of students. I have worked with learners of all ages across a range of subjects, including Finnish, English, software development, graphic design, and illustration.

I design my lessons to offer a practical, real-world understanding of the Finnish language. Recognizing that traditional language materials can often feel inorganic or disconnected from everyday use, I focus on teaching more relevant concepts that are directly applicable to life in finland. I have been learning with Iida for 6 months, and the lessons have really helped! From the very beginning, Iida really took the time to understand my current level and learning style. Since then, every lesson seems tailor-made to be a challenge, but still attainable. There are lesson plans made in advance, but depending on my level we sometimes skip ahead or backtrack to review before moving on. After nearly 10 years on Italki learning various languages, Iida is easily one of the best teachers out there. Looking forward to many more lessons! Kiitos paljon!
