I'm 68, an American native English speaker, and I have a C2 level certification in German, which I acquired primarily through self-study. I was born in New York, but grew up in Canada, California, Virginia, the Philippines and Kansas, so I speak a neutral American English with little to no regional accent. I studied journalism, creative writing and German at the University of Kansas, and I like history, films and music. Although I’m not a professional teacher, I’m a native English speaker, and I can offer you a relaxed setting in which to practice your conversational English. The main thing is that you speak, and I’ll encourage you to relax and not be afraid of making mistakes. I’ll try to make corrections in a way that least interferes with your speaking. If you're learning German, I'm ready to help with any aspect of the language that’s causing you problems. Or, if you’d rather, we can just talk. I don’t teach beginners or children, and I don‘t offer a structured course in English or German. All lessons are via Google Meet or Zoom. No Italki Classroom. After completing a 120-hour TEFL course, I also began tutoring English privately for kids.
