I do think however, that it's okay to make plenty of mistakes since this is a big part of learning a new language and also from what you learn the most. So during our conversations or an exercise I will mainly let you go ahead and discuss some corrections later, instead of constantly interrupting you. The most important thing is that you get a lot of practice with the language, that speaking Dutch becomes comfortable for you and that you show progress instead of shutting down because you're striving for perfection :)

I’ve been teaching for 7 years, and have experience teaching in kindergarten, elementary school, foreign language education, and teaching adults. Teaching 11 languages, currently learning 3 more, 20+ years of experience as a teacher When teaching I take both my schedule and my classes seriously. When a class is scheduled, it is part of my weekly plan and I get ready for it. I conduct a detailed journal of what I have been doing with my student, I write down every session, thus it is easy for me to check what we did on our previous sessions. I used to teach more conventionally, meaning with my students being in the same room as me. In 2021 I started using Skype for my classes (I now conduct my lessons on Teams) and things work out very well. I am always punctual as I respect the time my students take for our lessons, likewise I do appreciate if my students do the same.

Young Teacher with a Passion for Languages I have good first hand experience with what it's like to learn a forgeign language on your own. On top of this, I have very much been enjoying helping people learn Dutch.
